What is Green Coffee?
What we call “”coffee beans”” are actually two seeds facing each other inside a coffee cherry. Green coffee is the raw bean extracted from the ripe, deep red cherry before roasting.
Green coffee is rich in chlorogenic acid, a polyphenol also known as “”coffee polyphenol,”” valued for its strong antioxidant properties that help fight the free radicals that damage cells. This compound is abundant in fresh, unroasted beans, but much of it is lost during roasting, even as roasting brings out the aroma. That’s why green coffee — which allows for a higher intake of chlorogenic acid — is gaining increasing attention.
Our green coffee is made from two ingredients: 100% Arabica coffee beans and green coffee extract. The extract is drawn out and condensed without losing the nutrients found in fresh beans, then blended with roasted Arabica beans to achieve a well-balanced taste and aroma. We’re proud of its bold, freshly brewed coffee flavor.
